EAZ Lift Weight Distribution
Hitch
Over 50 years ago, Eaz-Lift became the first patented weight
distribution system in North America, & is still the most popular weight distribution hitch (WDH) in
America. Coast to Coast have recognised a product that has been tried, tested & now redeveloped to suit
Australian Standards. It has been designed with fewer parts, making it easier to use &
install.
The Eaz-Lift WDH's are constructed of high grade, machine
tapered round spring steel bars & are available in a 600 or 800 series. Both the 600 & 800 series
include bolt together tow ball mounts that are completely adjustable for changing tow ball height &
angles to suit different applications. The left and right sway control mounting facility is already provided
for, should you later require a sway control kit for additional towing safety.
All necessary parts come with each WDH including hook-up brackets, spring bars,
chains, tow ball mount, hitch pion & a clip & bolt package for adjusting your hitch. Rated for trailer
masses of up to 3.5t. Limited Lifetime Warranty
** Please note that shanks are sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. When & Why should I
use a weight distribution hitch?
A weight distribution hitch should be used when a trailer and
tow vehicle are not sitting level when connected to one another. Weight distributing hitches equalise the weight
between the axle of the trailer (the connection point between trailer and vehicle)and the rear axle of the vehicle.
This provides the driver with a safe stable and smooth towing ride.
2. How do I work out if I require the 600 or 800 series
hitch?
Use the guide below to help you determine what size hitch you
need:
-
Determine the ball weight of the trailer - ball weight
includes the trailer ball weight with full gas, water, waste systems & a packed
trailer.
-
Estimate the car boot load - be sure to include all items
carried in the back of the vehicle
-
Match the sum of these weights to the correct EAZ_Lift
hitch - for example, a ball weight of 227Kg coupled with a car boot load of 90Kg equates total hitch
weight of 317Kg
From the guide above, this example of vehicle-trailer
combination would require an Eaz lift 800 series WDH - 800 series for weights higher than 272Kg & up to
363Kg. Make sure the ball weight and the gross trailer weight do not exceed the tow vehicle manufacturer's
recommended capacities. The hitch selected must have a maximum Gross Trailer Weight rating equal to or
greater than the trailer rating. Ball weight is generally 10% of gross trailer weight.
3. What maintenance is required with the Eaz-Lift WDH?
Use Camco Eaz-lift Trailer Hitch Lubricant on hitch ball and on spring bars.
Recommended daily while in use. Keep hitch painted to prevent rust and check tightness of bolts regularly. Clean
out old grease, do not let it harden inside of the ball mount.
