July 29th, 2011

Well, what a busy few months we have had here!  The Caravan & Camping show was a great success as always, and saw us very busy indeed at the Dometic stand.  We talked to many new and old friends and learnt about their latest adventures travelling the country.  Made us wish we could join in!

Dometic have introduced a 240V only version of their Truma Hot Water Service, perfect for situations where a gas option isn't viable.  The unit looks a little like Darth Vader's 'helmet', well we think so anyway!

We are expecting a new delivery of Hose Bags soon, which will include 2 new bags - a smaller cable bag and a larger version of the original Hose Bag perfect for sullage hoses.

For our lovely Newsletter subscribers, we do apologise for the lateness of our current newsletter.  It has been very much a work-in-progress and will be available shortly.

We've had several vans come in in the last few weeks for their Gas & Safety Certificates, and had them fail one or both of these checks. Not normally a big problem as it is possible to factor in the cost of bringing the van upto certificate standard in your asking price, Unfortunatley this wasn't the case with these vans.

As you can see, it is a good idea to get your certificates done before sale to avoid such problems. Remember that your Gas Certificate will be valid for 3 months and your Safety Certificate is valid for 2 months.

Well its been another busy week here and Christmas is looming up fast!

We have recieved news that the Amp-fibian units will be available again around December, so fingers crossed.  Amp-fibian have been redeveloping the units for the last few months and supply of  the old models became scarce to say the least.  The new models look fantastic so we are looking forward to the release.

November 1, 2010

We've just waved Goodbye! to another busy month, and with the arrival of November Summer and Christmas are nearly here!

For all of you planning your summer camping and caravanning adventures, we have just found a really simple and terrific little device. Its called a Crochead Coil Holder
The really neat thing about these little things is that it will hold all those broken bits of Mozzie Coil that seem to go to waste. It will hold a whole coil as well.

Best of all is that its Australian made and has a lifetime warranty.

The new Winegard Wingman is back in stock and from all reports we've had, its doing a terrific job of enhancing TV reception for travellers.

Today also sees the launch of our Newsletter.  If you would like to receive your copy, either send us an email with 'subscribe' in the message to sales@suncoastcaravanservice.com.au  or pick one up in store.
