There are times when you may need to measure your awning to replace the fabric (vinyl) or perhaps even the tube
your fabric sits on.
If you know the size of your awning (for example it is in your documentation that came from the dealer) for
example 16' then that is the size you will need to quote.
If you are unsure, it is best to get out the measuring tape!
Firstly, do not measure the actual fabric length, as this tends to vary from fabric to fabric. Instead,
with the awning in the stowed position, measure from the centre of one awning arm (the upright) to the centre of
the other arm. Round this up to the nearest foot. This is your awning size. Easy.
NB: This applies to all brands and models of roll out awnings.
